This weekend we had a great time camping for our first time as a family. We went out on Friday and I was able to ride my bike up Nebo canyon a few times, and rode to the summit on Saturday and Sunday morning. After my ride on Saturday, I rode out to meet Angie and Liam at Lamb Days. I scarfed down s couple of hamburgers and then it looked like bad weather was coming so we headed out to spring city to see my parents, stopping in Moroni to have a milk shake. It was great to see my parents and my dad seemed so happy playing with Liam. We went back to the camp ground and cooked up some hot dogs, then went back to fountain green to see the fireworks. This morning I rode to the top of Nebo and met Angie on the road up, then we drove down through the other side.
Last weekend was the Fourth of July and we spent the weekend up at Snowbird with Stevie and Luis. We got some great news that Mikhayla had signed the papers to give us guardianship of Liam. The night of the Fourth we came back down to Salt Lake and walked to the movies and saw Inside Out, then got a milk shake and watched the fireworks.
I’ve been spending so much time with Liam, it’s do fun to take him to do things and watch him learn. The photo above was during the week and we found some beetles on the ground. I turned away for a sec and he was bitten by one.
This weekend we took Liam to an outdoor concert at Sandy Amphitheater where we saw an Abba cover band. We also worked on our house a lot and finished up some of our punch list.
Here are a few photos from the last week. On Wednesday, Marcus gave us tickets to our first RSL game, crazy to think we have never been to a game. He has great season tickets and they come with dinner which was very delicious. Liam had a lot of fun cheering for the players.
Last night I captured this beautiful photo of the sunset when I stopped at Lowe’s to buy a toilet, it was nice to spend a moment and take in the beauty.
Tonight we’re heading up to Snowbird to spend the night and then coming back to the valley for the 4th of July celebration.
