CHG had an Easter egg hunt, at just over two, Liam didn’t quite get it yet but he is getting there. He was able to hang out with his cousin Camden for a bit.
Wow, it has been exactly 1 year since Angela showed up at my work and told me that we were taking her nephew Liam into our home that day. Most of you know the story, kid abused and neglected by parents; Angie and I recently married and enjoying our adventures, taking this wonderful child in our home without any notice. That was quite a surprise to me that day, but I support my wife in anything she wants to do, and what else can you do in that situation other than do what is right? Then, thanks to all of our friends & family, we’ve had a lot of help protecting him legally from the birth mother (who has consistently failed drug tests and not made any meaningful progress to become the parent this child deserves) trying to take him back. But it has been absolutely amazing and rewarding! I know I post a lot about this beautiful child, but I am so proud of him and the happiness he brings to peoples lives with his smiles and laughter. Our next court date is in just over a month from now, we will be going to trial. I can’t say I have a lot of faith in the system but all we can do is to fight to keep this kid in safe hands where he can have every chance to have a wonderful life full of love and opportunity. Thank you all for your consistent support and friendship, Liam has an army of angels behind him!
I am so thankful for the great times I have with Liam, he makes my life so full of happiness. This weekend was fun, on Friday we went to the California pizza kitchen and then took him to Disney on ice. I caught my 4th cold of this season but I can’t complain, it is a small price to pay for the fun times that we have. Tonight we took him to the park and then out to dinner. He loves Star Wars, Mickey Mouse and Toy Story.
